Sunday, Dec. 8th, 2013 - Jordan offered a presentation on the subject of contemplative research and his own inquiry into reconciling science, art and the spiritual traditions.  Influenced by years living and working in a community based on the work of Rudolf Steiner and his articulation of Anthroposophy ("wisdom of the human being").  In 2011 I received a research grant at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland where I studied the principals that might underly new forms of adult education.  This independent project resulted in the beginnings of a rough methodology for a radically interdisciplinary personal and social research that has influenced my ongoing inquiry into an expanded conception of art and a holistic view of societal growth and renewal.  More information at

May 1st - 3rd, 2009 Art is Movement Think OutWord Event Spring Valley and NYC

the new forms project, as members of the core group and Credere Fund Grantees, helped host a think outword gathering in Spring Valley and NYC.  We conducted an embodied study of what lies in-between:  point and periphery, horizontal and vertical, individual and community.  We worked with the practice of social sculpture and experiencing for ourselves the inner capacities necessary for bringing about meaningful social change.  We toured an exhibit of work by artist Joseph Beuys at the Museum of Modern Art and conducted our own creative missions throughout the city. Our social sculpture piece artifact, description and reviews can be found here.
